A relationship is a strong, deep, or close association or acquaintance between two or more people that may range in duration from brief to enduring. This association may be based on inference, love, solidarity, regular business interactions, or some other type of social commitment.
Interpersonal relationships are formed in the context of social, cultural and other influences. The context can or may and perhaps vary from family or kinship relations, friendship, marriage, relations with associates, work, clubs, neighborhoods, and places of worship. They may be regulated by law, custom, or mutual agreement, and are the basis of social groups and society as a whole.
A successful and fulfilling relationship is dependent on the compatibility between two people – their personalities, their aspirations and their lifestyle – and the way they complement each other. But, if it is to prove durable, a relationship also needs to be nurtured, and, on occasion, both partners need to work at it, probably gaining a deeper understanding of each other in the process.
Finding a real relationship;
Be open minded Being open minded means to be willing to consider or receive new and different ideas. It means being flexible and adaptive to new experiences and ideas. If you want someone to be a part of your life, you either have to let people in, or you get out of it. Go out and have fun. Your comfort zone is a place where you can just be yourself and just forget the world.
If you happen to meet someone interesting, given the right time and circumstances, don’t be afraid to say hello. Striking a conversation with a perfect stranger is okay as long as you know what to say. Sometimes even if you just don’t say anything. Let your smile do the talking.
Be open to explore new opportunities and experiences.
Don’t lose sight of who you are. Losing sight of who you are means changing and adjusting your own needs – even sacrificing your personal happiness just to be a perfect partner. Learn to love yourself and the right person will accept you nonetheless.
Be authentic, To find real relationship, you must first emphasize your true self. If you want someone to love you through your moments of imperfection, you must first be willing to do that for someone else. Be real with yourself, so you are ready for someone else’s authenticity.
Sometimes when someone is in a relationship, they tend to lose their own identity just to please the person they love. Although it could make a relationship work at first, it could eventually ruin them in the long run.
Give room for personal growth
Don’t limit your partner’s potential. Support them in all their undertakings, celebrate with them in their success. Grow together. Personal growth involves the growth and enhancement of all aspects of a person, the feelings the person has about himself or herself, and their effectiveness in living.
You may have several similarities but there will always be differences: your hobbies, priorities or even personal goals in your respective career. Understanding this reality will help you accept that you don’t always have to do things together, and letting each other grow does not mean growing apart.
A typical relationship undergoes problems that can be considered normal and just part of the process of building a stronger, better bond between two people in love. There are the occasional fights, the almost-breakups, and finally, the resolution when you get to hug and make up.
Trust in this process and don’t give up on what you have. Play your part You should understand that “like attracts like.” You set the caliber for the individual you want to spend your life with. You wouldn’t look for a sluggish, insatiable, stingy complainer, unprincipled, so identify ways to clean up your own act first. Do you want to spend your days with a healthy person who takes care of their body?. Then lace up those sneakers and get to the gym yourself! Do you want to surround yourself with a person who sees the best in people and situations?. Then stop complaining! Do you want to find someone who strives to live each day with grace, joy, purpose. and integrity? You get the idea. . .
For a relationship to work, one must do their part. Both of you should share the responsibility of making an effort to keep the love alive. Be romantic, be faithful, and always let your love be felt. Moreover, apologize when you’ve done something wrong and, when the lessons are learned, choose to forgive.
Confidence is a foundation of success. ‘Have confidence’ is an essential advice you get in life that you will not cherish if you have never done it. Be confident in yourself, your decisions, and your ability to attract love into your life. If you are being your authentic, best self, this confidence will radiate from you in a glow of self-worth. You will attract someone who recognizes, appreciates, and loves who you are.
Foster this confidence by knowing that you are whole and complete just by being you. Understand that a soul mate is nice to have, but not a must-have. You, alone, are enough.
